235 TREES PLANTED AT Brgy. Bunga, TANZA,CAVITE
In the spirit of continuously pursuing its concerted environmental preservation advocacies, Kumiai Senpaku Co. Ltd., in partnership with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation and Asahi Co. Ltd, once again collaborated to conduct a Tree Planting Activity at Barangay Bunga, Tanza, Cavite along our Magsaysay Training Center area last August 20, 2011, Saturday (8am till 10am), where around ninety (90) volunteers from the local community, Homer Foundation, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, Asahi Company Limited, Magsaysay Training Center and Magsaysay Institute of Shipping planted 235 trees, in celebration of the launching of MV Cape Jacaranda.
Also on hand to witness and participate in the noble event were representatives from the Municipal Government's Environment and Engineering Divisions, as well as the presence of the local community of Barangay Bunga.
Barangay Captain Jesus Santos welcomed the guests and volunteers during the program, while Chief Engineer Romy Piccio, Head of the Magsaysay Training Center, and Mr. Marlon Rono, President of Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, subsequently gave inspirational messages to all those who took part in the said activity.
