MagTutor Program
Magsaysay, with its growing recognition of its corporate social responsibility, now seeks to create an intervention that can help address the continuing decline in the quality of education today.
MAGTutor is the company’s response to the need for a sustained, business community –driven advocacy to improve the performance of public schools while focusing on the competencies of students in the grade school level. It also aims to complement the Department of Education’s vision of providing quality basic education in underserved public schools particularly in the immediate community where Magsaysay offices operate.
MAGTutor is a tutorial service project that seeks to bridge the learning gaps in the classroom and supplements the efforts of the target elementary school(s) in developing their students. The program also involves mobilization and deployment of Magsaysay volunteers to conduct group tutorial sessions to elementary students who are in the Grade 4, 5 and 6 levels. Furthermore, Magsaysay provides the venue for the tutorial sessions.
