We asked our Educational Assistance Program scholars to share something to their co-scholars. This was what they had to say:
SOLLANO, Rachel A.
Bachelor of Arts Major in English - Magna Cum Laude
Westfal Larsen Masterbulk Scholar
"To my co-scholars, just keep believing- believe in God and believe in yourself! Always set goals for yourselves and be determined to attain that goal. I know it’s easier said than done yet nothing is impossible if your determination to succeed is strong. Also, engage in a lot of school activities- attend seminars, workshops and trainings especially leadership trainings, participate in contests, join organizations, be active in sports, and most especially strive harder and maintain the balance. These things will teach you more than what is taught in the classroom. Though I have achieved something, but I know I could have achieved more if I have just been very participative in school affairs. I wish you the best in all your academic undertakings! May God bless you in your future endeavors!
To Homer Foundation, Inc., Thank you for the wonderful opportunity that you have given me to share my thoughts to my co-scholars. Thank you very much for allowing me to assess myself especially on how am I doing in my studies through the necessary requirements that I have to submit at the end of the term. It really helped me as a student and as an individual. As a student, I learned to value my education even more because I always look forward to meeting opportunities that will enable me to learn and enhance something for myself. As an individual, I learned to be wiser in making decisions, and I learned to be tougher in handling difficult situations. May you continue to empower more lives in the succeeding years."
CABACUNGAN, Leigh Arnie D.
Bachelor of Science in Biology - Magna Cum Laude
Keymax Scholar
“To the EAP Scholars, be driven. Be thankful for that you became a scholar of Magsaysay Homer Foundation, Inc. because not all are given the opportunity to be on your place. Own it! Just think of all the positive things about having this chance that you are helping out your parents, you make them happy and most of all you make them proud. Be inspired with your dreams and ambitions in life and be firm to make them happen. Show people what you got! Being a student is not always about paper works, projects and passing exams, it is applying what you’ve learned in real life is what is important. It’s not bad to indulge yourself once in a while; it’s like giving you a break from a long tiring day at school but know to limit yourself and be responsible enough. Lastly, always make time to pray. Pray for all the blessings that you have received may it be good or bad and always wear a smile to lighten up your day. Congratulations to all and may the Good Lord bless us all. Kudos to everyone!”
