Thank you letter from Nette QuiazonDear All,
I am back in the office now very willing to participate in the relief operations launched by Magsaysay for the victims of Ondoy. At 1:19pm last Saturday, when I emailed all of you out of sheer desperation, my family was a victim of this wrath of nature. Stranded on the second floor of our house and watching the murky water climb higher, I could not believe that landing on the roof and getting drenched under the strong rains or in fact drowning, was so real! The reality took an even scarier face if you consider that we have my 90 years old mother who will get all drenched on that roof. But the calls and messages I received from you all had such calming effect that I still managed to likewise calm down my husband who was so despaired with 2 cars totally soaked by the floods. Thank you so much for the help and immense concern. I thought it was the most harrowing experience of all until I talked with Rey Jacinto and Resty Esteban who got to us only at 10pm because of the great difficulty experienced while negotiating roads flooded up to the level of the traffic lights and having to rescue people already on rooftops. I realized then that we were so lucky to have a 2nd floor to go to. This is the Magsaysay World and the rescue operations that you all put together and managed in the last 72 hours could not but have been the embodiment of the greatest value of Magsaysay, WE CARE. Marlon, please extend to Mrs. Rono my family's sincerest gratitude for her concern that she went out of her way to call me and texted me her contact numbers and was on standby in case we in fact move out. Nette AMI-HROM Thank you letter from Leonor AlanoDear Magsaysay Family,
Thank you so much for the assistance in rescuing my family. It is indeed a blessing to be a Magsaysay. Felt helpless, stranded with my 2 kids and 82 year old mom, until I received a text from Ms. Neth Quiazon and a call from Mina and in a few hours the Magsaysay rescue team arrived and evacuated my family to a safe place. Yesterday, TLG team helped us evacuate our things and lifted the car to a higher platform while waiting for the assistance from the local govt (if any??), as the flood is expected to stay for another 2 months or more. Thank you also to Mr. and Mrs Rono for offering their place in Mandaluyong. And to those who called and offered personal assistance. We care really do exist in Magsaysay, not only in words, e-mail and posters but in the hearts of each and everyone of us. Maraming Salamat po. Leonor Fairex Trading |
